Last Minute

What did I tell you? Expect more outfit posts right? :D

Sorry for the stupid face but here's the outfit I wore to the What A Girl Wants Young Ambassadors of Style Launch at Abreeza yesterday. More about that soon when my blogger friends upload their photos. 

Oh yeah, be prepared. This is kind of a wordy entry.

The theme of the event was Holiday Chic and I wanted to veer away from the usual sequined/black and gold/metallic outfits that usually come to mind when you say "Holiday". I saw that turquoise and silver were all the rage on HM.com so I decided to use that as inspiration.

Since it's the holidays again, my obsession for slouchy sweaters returned. :) :) :) However, I wasn't able to find any slouchy sweaters to my liking so I just got this one from Terranova. I had started looking for pieces for my outfit a week in advance by scouring stores so I can get the best value for my money. I'd found the skirt (a shiny silver skirt) at Forever21 but at the last minute, decided to get this gold skirt because the silver one looked like foil (very unflattering, needless to say). I actually bought my skirt and heels (not photographed) at the last possible minute (like 2 hours before the event), hence the title. =))

and yes, you read that right: I actually wore heels to an event. :)

Anyway, I may have a stupid face in these photos but at least my legs are hair-free! :P A week ago, I had my legs threaded (yes, threaded) at Nail Bar. I wanted to try out waxing, but the ladies convinced me to try threading. They said the hair grows slower and thinner. Plus, it's cheaper than waxing by 10php! :) It was painful at first, but it got bearable later on. It's a week later but my legs are smooth as ever.

 I also had my nails done, but I opted not to get nail art this time. I noticed that a LOT of celebs are sporting short and dark nails so of course, papatalo ba ako? I picked Orly's Naughty or Nice, which is one of their new shades. Visit Nail Bar at McPod Bldg, McArthur Highway, Davao City. It's beside Ateneo High School.
