Who says girls in glasses can't be fashionable?
I wear glasses and I've been wearing them since 4th grade which is more than 10 years ago (go figure!). I would wear contacts but I'm an on the rush kind of girl, plus one of the reasons why I wear glasses is that if I don't, my cheeks would cover up my eyes when I smile. Haha! Dorothy Parker, an American writer and poet once said "Men don't make passes at girls who wear glasses". She might've been talking about me That is so untrue! Well what would she know? Nowadays, glasses are considered cool. If you doubt that, Google "girls with glasses" and you'll stumble upon Tumblr blogs dedicated to exactly that--girls with glasses.
Eyeglasses are now considered accessories. There are people who wear them not out of need but to make a statement, which is okay because now us bespectacled freaks have the chance to change up our look with the number of frames and designs available. Warby Parker is one site online that offers prescription eye wear and sun wear at an affordable price. In line with that, I've styled 3 outfits based on 3 glasses from their collection.

One was for a day at the museum. I chose an oxblood hat to "perk up" a classic combo of cream and navy. I also added heeled oxfords for that "scholarly chic" look. Of course, I chose the Mallory Blue Marblewood eyeglasses.
The second one was for an art show. I went for the whole beatnik look from the 1950's and 60's and modern-ed it up a bit with a leather skirt. Of course, artists can be a bit rebellious so I showed that off with the studded boots. Lastly, I finished the look with the Miles Revolver Black.
Finally, my last look was for a day at the beach. I was inspired by a Grace Kelly look.

I couldn't find a high-waist swimsuit and I can't wear one so I picked a white sundress and topped it off with a red beach hat. The Everett Gimlet Tortoise shades completed the look.

I own a pair of glasses (despite my 20-20 vision). I should try these looks sometime. :D
