Cute Homecoming Dresses 2014
I'm all for maximizing clothing--wearing a piece in more ways than one, wearing one type of clothing in ways you never thought possible. For example, these cute homecoming dresses from dressv.com can be worn to occasions other than just homecoming! For instance, June is famous for being month for weddings, but there are also a lot of people that get married in July (duh Farrah, people get married all year round!!) In fact, my cousin's getting married the day before my birthday! If you're attending a wedding or even if you're not, here are some tips I can give you to wear dressv.com's homecoming dresses for any occasion.
1) Go for bright colors
Even though it's not summer in the Philippines anymore, you can still go for bright colors to look youthful. Like in the first dress pictured, a bright frock still stands out despite it having simple cuts. This would be perfect for a morning to afternoon wedding, to wear as a guest or bridesmaid. This orange frock is also perfect!
2) It's coming back
I used to be obsessed with asymmetrical necklines but now, I love all these dresses with amazing back detail. At first you think the dress is conservative but *poof*, there's something interesting going on behind! It's probably what KARMIN meant when she sang "business in the front, party in the back". Wear this to a summer evening party, black and white party or even to a work function(for the first dress--just cover it up with a blazer especially if you're one of the organizers).
3) Try out interesting details.
Although the dress is nude, it's made interesting by the draping. This is perfect for chubby girls since it hides your bulges and love handles. The open neckline also puts the focus on your face. The color is also perfect for both casual and formal occasions. Dress it up with gold jewelry or shoes.
4) Play up with patterns.
If you're a fashion risk-taker, dare to go for printed dresses! Plaids are hot, what with the 90's grunge trend out now. Live up your rocker chick dreams with this patterned dress with tulle. Aside from homecoming, you can wear this to a concert or gig, dressed down with boots or black sneaks.
5) Nothing beats the classic.
The LBD will always be a classic and will never run out of style. You can wear this to any occasion (probably best not to wear to a morning wedding though). Just accessorize accordingly and watch heads turn! :)
All of these dresses are available at dressv.com. You can click on the photos to view the listing. You can also have the dresses customized to suit your size, cloth and color preference.
