Pastel

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone's feeling the Christmas spirit as we get ready for Christmas tonight/tomorrow! I'm queuing this post (as a gift, you could say!) cause later, I'll be at our family's annual Christmas dinner/gathering. I hope you guys are also enjoying your own family's media noche and not just sitting at the computer, on Facebook and Twitter.

Anyway, this is what I wore to last Friday's "End of the World" hang with my high school batchmates. I actually wore this to school once but didn't get to have it photographed so I wore it so it could be shot. :) It's one of my faves because the pastel colors luckily came together.

So anyway, friends and I had dinner at Sbarro (thanks for the treat, Dex!!!) and then went out for drinks to chill and talk. Afterwards, we went to Krispy Kreme and Starbucks to cap off our night. Thanks guys, other than my family, wouldn't have wanted to spend the end of the world with anyone else. Ahhh, the first day of my vacation started out great..and it's been non-stop ever since. I have yet to spend a full day home since Friday. I'm tired but not really complaining though cause I'm home early for the most part of the year. Hahaha. I really missed coming home late. =))

Some photos from that night:

High-Low

6/11/2012

photos taken by Cheyser using Gail's cam

jacket: Vintage Dior (from Blanc et Noir)
top: Forever21
nails: Nail Bar

Finally found an occasion for me to parade my vintage find: the Style Origin Fashion Show at Abreeza! It being another Bloggers from the South x SOUL event, we all dressed up of course. It had been long since we all got together for the love of fashion and this was a special occasion: Cheyser and Gail walked the ramp for SOUL Lifestyle (will be making a separate post about that)!

This is one of my favorite outfits because I was able to try to do the hi-low. One of the tips to make a truly wonderful outfit is to mix your high-end and low-end pieces together. A lot of the really great fashionistas and It girls do it all the time. :)

Hope you like the outfit as much as I do! (Although I think it would've looked better with heels!)
What do you think?

Citrus

top and bag: H&M
shoes: Janilyn

This is what I wore to church and dinner at Abreeza yesterday.

I bought these shoes for my Manila trip cause they would stand out for the all-black outfit I planned to wear. Oh well. They will make a good standout piece for my usual basic minimalist looks. Printed shoes are pretty hot right now! I saw a few pairs I want from Primadonna and Call it Spring. I hope Call It Spring will open in Davao sooner!!

I also saw my dear friend Margs yesterday after a loooooong time! I miss you, "cousin", if ever you're reading this. It was funny cause we couldn't speak for a few seconds over the shock of seeing each other. We talked for a bit and her nephews came to us and told her "Tita, tita maybe you and your friend's brain exploded cause you couldn't talk kanina" Haha! Cuties! <3

Anyway, I entitled this post Citrus cause of my orange bangles + yellow bag (don't have detail shots :( ). :)

People's Princess

Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Janilyn
Ring: from my ninong

Just wanted to show you what I wore last night. Like I said, my dress reminds me of Kate Middleton's Issa dress which she wore to her wedding engagement announcement. I chose People's Princess as the title cause my dress reminds me of Kate Middleton and my shoes remind me of Blair Waldorf. :) Has anyone else noticed Gossip Girl is slowly starting to mirror real life? The car crash with Chuck was so Princess Diana!

Sorry about the low quality photo. My camera died on me at the last second.

Holiday Shopping!

12/24/2011

Thank God for Abreeza, big-sized clothing and more and better selections to choose from. We don't have to rely on the packages with clothes that my lola sends us from the States every year. Usually, they arrive late and we still have to find stuff to wear, which is hard considering my sisters and I are all big boned! Call it European sizes, I say!

Got 2 dresses for Christmas and New Year at Dorothy Perkins! Finally, I have no excuse to look like a mom, like Christmas 2009. *shudders*
The pink one is for tonight, the metallic one is for New Year's! Outfit-ey post soon!

Shoes are from Janilyn. I love them! They remind me of SJP's Manolos in the first SATC movie. It also looks like something Blair Waldorf would wear--in flats form.

I plan to accessorize with a turquoise cuff from SOUL Lifestyle. I got the necklace for my sister!

I could have easily went the usual black and pink way by choosing black shoes and black accessories, or you know, just pairing my dress with neutrals, but starting right now, I am resolving to start wearing more color!

So, 2011 Fashion Resolution to wear more color? CHECK! :)

Happy Holidays, loves!
