Bridal Trends 2015

1/07/2015

They say girl's wedding gown is the most important thing she will ever have to wear (and pick out!). So, gals who recently got engaged and have not yet decided what (or who!) to wear, listen up! I'm listing some bridal trends for 2015 and I hope this will get to help you out (I missed doing lists like these). If not, let's bring out that inner little girl daydreaming of our future wedding then just ooh and aah at the lovely gowns.

Trend #1: Off-the-shoulder gowns

Forget the sweetheart (neckline), sweetheart! A new neckline is here to stay. It's especially perfect for bohemian kind of weddings, but still also gives off this posh vibe. Don't they remind you of princess gowns (Cinderella, especially)? Personally, I'm obsessed with off-the-shoulder tops right now as well. It's good for showing off your collarbone and it opens your face up so that it's the first thing people notice.

Trend #2: Colored wedding dresses

I know, I know. There have been colored wedding dresses already. But, new colors which were prominent on runways included blue, gray and mint. There were also some browns spotted in Jenny Packham, in both chiffon and shiny satin. This one from Rosa novias comes in a gorgeous light brown, as well as ivory and white.

Trend #3: Cool Tulle

One of my favorite fabrics is also BIG this season! From overlays to poofed-out versions, tulle will never go out of (bridal) style.

Trend #4: Collars

For the girl who wants to look, and feel like a queen. Closed up collars frame the face nicely. (Note: closed up collars like this dress are better for oval-shaped faces; avoid a high neckline altogether for rounder faces)

Trend #5: Beach Wedding

A lot of people are choosing to hold their weddings at the beach, thus the surge in these styles. In an ode to the separates trend, there were also some wedding garb separates, and even a romper! Well, imagine that.

These dresses were brought to you by rosanovias.com, an online wedding-specialty shop which creates wedding gowns. They are slightly pricier than the previous shops I've featured here but the quality and designs of their dresses look more luxe. I've even been able to spot a few gowns that were inspired or similar to the recent collections, they're that up-to-date! They also have bridesmaid gowns, flower girl dresses, gowns for the guests, mother of the bride dresses, prom dresses and wedding accessories.

It's okay to not have a designer wedding gown, especially if you can't afford it. But even if you did, I mean, Bianca Gonzales got hers off the rack! Remember that the most important thing is being with that person you can't live without.
Butttt, if he gives you a budget and a go signal to get that designer dress, then by all means. =))
