And We'll Never Be..Florals

2/16/2014

Since Valentine's Day is officially over, I now officially usher in the summer season with this outfit! :)

Nothing says spring/summer more than floral printed clothes; they're a staple in every Spring/Summer show. Although I've always wanted to wear floral pieces, they seemed too dainty for me, especially floral dresses. So, I've never had anything floral..until now. Needless to say, this is actually my first time wearing floral prints on my blog. Yay!

Happy December 1st!

Merry Christmas!

Somehow I cannot believe it's December 1st already (and that it's soon about to end). I guess I am getting older and busier to notice how the days pass by. I'm sorry I was not productive in terms of blog entries for November (I just had 6, can you believe it?) but thank you all the same for still dropping by my blog. :) I'm sure with all the upcoming events, I'll have lots to blog about!

So what happened today was I looked for an outfit for the WAGW event next week. There were sales everywhere! Forever 21 had a double markdown sale but it was disappointing--only few items were on sale. I have yet to visit my other shopping spots and the DavCon bazaar tomorrow. After a short nap, my brother, dad, sister and I watched Rise of the Guardians. As I'm typing this entry (and looking for photos of snow), what an apt movie it is for today and the season! It was really funny and there were some heartwarming moments in there. I felt guilty because I realized how jaded and negative I can be. I wish I could have (or at least keep) that childlike wonder and innocence again.

For now, some pictures to get me (us) into the Christmas mood. Sorry for all the snow pictures. I'm so fascinated by it. One day, I do hope that dream my friends and I have of having a White Christmas comes true.

Christmas Bazaar

11/26/2011

After going to The Peak yesterday, we headed off to the bazaar at Davao Convention Center upon the insistence of  my sister Feebee. (By the way, she has a blog so please click the link and check her random 13 year old musings out) Here are some random photos I took.

Because of the cayenne, Chubby posed like the jalapeno from Plants vs Zombies. Think he got the look down pat, right?

Top Picks from The 1st Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar Experience

8/20/2011

My friends Mithi, Julienne and I met up yesterday and we went to the Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar. I had stomach cramps but I just had to go because Mithi came home for the long weekend and I haven't seen her for more than a month!

There were a lot of exhibitors, but these were some of my favorite picks of all the stuff there.

1. Candy Bags and Kara Shoes.

I first read about them on Fashion Firewoman. Jariss writes "this imported bag business brings us the latest bag craze in Manila". When I found out that they were coming to Davao, I knew I'd just have to stop by and check all their stuff out!

When we first came to their booth, there were a lot of people so we couldn't take any photos! And why not? Everyone was ooh-ing and aah-ing at the delicious candy collection! Very true to their name! :)

They have really affordable stuff. The shoes are Php550-650, and the bags are Php850. I wanted this brown satchel but I didn't bring any money! Boohoo! :(

Anyway, if you're in Manila, according to their Facebook page, they  have branches in Tiendesitas and Robinson's Galleria.

The 1st Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar

KADAYAWAN!!!

The term "Kadayawan" is derived from the Mandaya word “madayaw”,a warm and friendly greeting used to explain a thing that is valuable, superior, beautiful, good, or profitable. (from kadayawan.com website)

It's a celebration that showcases the bounty of harvest, as well as a thanksgiving for all the blessings that have been given to our city. A lot of Davaoenos look forward to this celebration, and thousands of visitors flock to Davao to celebrate with us.

Anyway, I haven't been able to celebrate Kadayawan in Davao for 3 years now, so I'm quite excited to this year. I'm especially excited for The 1st Great Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar. (especially the bazaar part! :P)
