Here's one of the few posts I have left over from last year, and one of my favorite moments of 2014! You know the saying "buti pa ang lakad na di pinaplano, natutuloy"? (random outings push through more than planned ones) This was one of those instances!

 When I found out that the Tomato Time event would be held at Marco Polo (and on a Sunday too, no less!), I thought of wearing something country club chic. I love the whole vibe of their pool area and thought it would be a perfect backdrop for an outfit like this.

SPLICED: FIDA Gradshow Presscon

Last Wednesday, I was invited to the Fashion Institute of Design and Arts (FIDA) presscon for their second graduation show entitled SPLICED: Where Fashion and Film Collide. It will be held at 5pm tomorrow, April 26, 2014 at the SM Lanang Premier Atrium and everyone's invited to attend! The show will feature the works of the 13 graduates of FIDA Davao. The graduates of the 1-year (intensive) Fashion Design course will feature a 7-piece collection. Meanwhile, the graduates of the 2-year Fashion Design course will feature a 12-piece collection. The lone Fashion Branding and Merchandising student, Daphne Balagtas, will be styling a set featuring clothes from Forever 21.

Blogging is no easy task.

This is what Pat, Rien and I realized when we shot a series of outfit shots at MTS last month. It may seem glamorous--we dress up, go to events, get paid or get freebies at times--but nothing glamorous ever comes without hard work. We're like a whole magazine staff rolled into one! We're our own stylist, photographer, (photo) editor, writer, PA (since we carry our own clothes to shoots!), social media promoter, layout/art director/editor--name every position in a magazine and chances are, we've done some work of it!

Since it's graduation season (meaning the new graduates will soon be joining the work force), I thought of giving outfit ideas for the young professional. This one is for the yuppie working at a creative firm, meaning no strict dress codes. You're free to express your creativity and personality through your outfit. Think advertising, publishing, styling, and possibly, PR.

Hello once more!

Can you believe it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post? If you haven't noticed, chances are you're still a student, like me. Haha! It's March madness, as I like to call it. We are down to the last couple weeks of school and there's school work we have to do left and right. Thankfully though, the stars have aligned for me tonight and I (miraculously) have nothing major to submit tomorrow. :)

The Best Day

Happy last day of February!

I hadn't planned on posting an entry tonight, especially not this set of photos as I was saving these photos for a special day, a special feeling and I was also thinking of a special write-up for this particular set. However, I thought, why should we wait for "special timing"? Life's too short so let's use those 'special' notebooks, drink those "special" wines. I mean, I'm happy, I feel great, I had a great last day of February and I've got good news, insights and  stories to share so if that isn't special and good enough reason, what is?

And We'll Never Be..Florals

Since Valentine's Day is officially over, I now officially usher in the summer season with this outfit! :)

Nothing says spring/summer more than floral printed clothes; they're a staple in every Spring/Summer show. Although I've always wanted to wear floral pieces, they seemed too dainty for me, especially floral dresses. So, I've never had anything floral..until now. Needless to say, this is actually my first time wearing floral prints on my blog. Yay!

Here's to (Self) Love

Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow! Here's to a "holiday" that's been the bane of my existence throughout my tumultuous, hormone-charged teen years. Here's to a day that's caused me tears (both of joy, but usually of envy and self-pity :( ) but gave me smiles and memories worth remembering too (especially during my days in UP :) ). Here's to a day I've finally come to terms with now that I'm older, "wiser" and definitely more accepting of myself.

It's been a week since I last blogged and since these photos were taken for Gelianne's make-up portfolio. My bloggies (blogger besties/buddies, whatever you prefer) spent Chinese New Year shooting and they were so excited about how the photos turned out that they blogged their outfit shots immediately! I'm usually the most active among us but now I'm the last one to post one of the outfits we shot. Haha.

There's a Couple at the Back

Hello! From Davao.

I'm supposed to be in Cebu now with Mia for her birthday trip (we booked tickets in January) but something went wrong so it didn't push through. I'm still sad about it but there isn't anything more I could do, as our my flight had left last Saturday (when these photos were taken). It was funny too cause right after the time I was originally scheduled to get back to Davao (tomorrow), I had planned to be going to Manila too for an AIESEC NLDC conference. Sadly, that also didn't push through cause when I decided to book tickets, they were already so expensive! ASDFGJKL So I'm spending sembreak in Davao...again.

This month (my BIRTHDAY MONTH *yaaaay*) is probably one of the busiest yet best months of my 2013. I'd just gotten back from my 3-day retreat yesterday and I woke up to a busy day. Awhile ago, I had a shoot for FBTV. And actually, I just got back from my cousin's surprise debut party. I had to leave earlier cause tomorrow, I'll have my talk at NCCC and then on Monday, exam week starts. How about that for a busy birthday month? I'm extremely thankful though, especially since YOU guys helped me reach 100,000 page views!!  I don't know exactly when or how that happened (or who was the 100,000th hit) but thank you. I never imagined maintaining a blog that's reached 100,000 views! So even though it's late, I just had to blog. :) #blessed

SouthSpot Workshop

This is where it all started!

Before I reveal that BIG news I was promising to reveal a few posts back, I want to tell you how and when it started. It started when Ms. Jill Palarca messaged us in the Davao Fashion Bloggers page tho invite us to give a talk on fashion for the teens enrolled at the Spotlight Summer Workshop. So last April 15, we went to give the talk. My talk was about the different kinds of style personalities.

Thinking of Titles is the Hardest Part

This is such a weird feeling to have. I've been staring at the computer screen for a while now, pressed for time and I honestly am coming up with a big fat blank right now. Normally, I would have something prepared beforehand to write about but I figured y'alls could use a break from my more intense topics. I can get a little too passionate about what I talk about in posts, right? So serious. Hahaha. 

Makeup Workshop

Last Tuesday, Kwesh, Dawn, Gelianne and I went to Rien's house for a make-up workshop conducted by her mom. I already attended the FIDA workshop 2 years ago but I didn't get to apply much of what I've learned because I (still) don't have the necessary tools. HAHA. But it's important for me to apply what I've re-learned since I'm now a blogger (charot). I have to put my best face forward, so to say.
