Style Remix 2: Movie Date

For the second installment of Style Remix, I styled my tank top and jeans for something I could wear to the movies. This has got to be one of my most favorite lazy and comfy outfits to date cause it's something you put together when you don't want to think about what to wear. The slouchy cardigan my mom got (which I stole) is the best cause it's light but it also keeps you warm at the same time. And the black straw fedora I got has also been a permanent fixture on my blog lately as my hair's in a perpetual state of disarray AKA it's growing out.

There's a Couple at the Back

Hello! From Davao.

I'm supposed to be in Cebu now with Mia for her birthday trip (we booked tickets in January) but something went wrong so it didn't push through. I'm still sad about it but there isn't anything more I could do, as our my flight had left last Saturday (when these photos were taken). It was funny too cause right after the time I was originally scheduled to get back to Davao (tomorrow), I had planned to be going to Manila too for an AIESEC NLDC conference. Sadly, that also didn't push through cause when I decided to book tickets, they were already so expensive! ASDFGJKL So I'm spending sembreak in Davao...again.

Here's another outfit from the four we shot at SM the other week. This set is probably my favorite because of the concept, the clothes and how the photos turned out. Honestly, I'm so glad that my friends are game! It made everything easier and much more fun!

Comfort Zone

I think it was last week that my friend Allan tweeted "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" and I swear, that quote couldn't have come at a more opportune time. It's not only applicable to my friends who have just recently graduated or to those who'll be starting their new jobs, but also to me, a perpetual dweller of the comfort zone.

The Future Looks Bright

Last Monday, my fellow bloggers and I from the Davao Fashion Bloggers group gave a talk and mini-styling session for the kids taking the South Spot workshop. The talk was for 12-16 year olds so I thought it was best to make youthful my usual basic neutral outfits by injecting color. Besides, summer is the perfect time to wear color and lots of it!

I've always wanted to see what I'd look like in a blazer, band tee and shorts combo. I've always thought the combination was fool-proof outfit for concerts or parties. I don't have band tees though because I'm not really the kind of person who buys things with logos or markings that are easily identifiable. Anyway, I wore this to a lunch date with Mithi (she took my photos BTW! Thanks woman!) yesterday. We were supposed to try out Sea Green (a healthy food place) but it was closed. We went to La Bodeguita after but they didn't have a chef so we ended up at Spirale. Haha. It was reaaallly hot day yesterday, thus the shorts! I also wore my ratty old tee (which I usually wear to the gym only) because it's breezy. I just put the blazer on to make everything looked polished. Mithi and I planned to go to the Marco Polo party after (so this would've been the perfect day-to-night ensemble yes?) but decided at the last minute not to because we were so tired! Not to worry though, we are going to get our #ArawngDabaw on tonight! HAHA
Anyway, sorry for the mini-hiatus! It was the last week of class and next week's exam week so I haven't had the chance to take photos of anything. Mit and I had a mini-shoot yesterday though so I'd have something to post in the next few days. Also, thank you for dropping by my blog. My daily pageviews tell me that you guys still drop by so it isn't it as if I ever left. >:)<

The Wind In My Hair

Such a weird title for the post but I couldn't think of anything! I think I'm finding myself stuck in another rut--writing-wise and outfit-wise! School's ending in less than a month from now and before that, as of now I have 4 major requirements to accomplish: my English portfolio, reports and experiments (+ packaging!) for the upcoming Engineering and Architecture Fair (that's March 8-9 at Abreeza), my FILIPINO RESEARCH PAPER, and our Literature play (say whuut!). It's funny cause most of those requirements are from my minor subjects and they make me feel like I'm in high school, like the play. I would much rather write a play review or something, or maybe that's just me. Anyway enough of the ranting. This is what I wore to our blogger Valentine dinner last Feb 16. Upon inspection of my planner last year, I found out that our first blogger dinner at K-Steak (for chikka sake lang) was held Feb 17! So I thought maybe this should be made a tradition soon! :) Sadly, not everyone we invited was able to go due to last minute constraints so it was again just me, Dawn and Kwesh basically but Steph and Janvie dropped by. Plus, we also got to meet Ella. We ate at Bon Apetit at GMall. It was our first time there. I don't have photos of the food (and of us) though cause my sister borrowed my camera as it was her prom night that night too. I wanted to wear something casual, chill and posh--like the rich classy girls wear for Sunday lunch or a casual dinner with friends. I wish I wore pants though, it was freezing that night!! Anyway, I don't know if I pulled it off but I hope I did! Haha Enjoy the last day of the long weekend!! A week after my chicken pox debacle, I finally showed my face to school. I've been away for 4 MWF meetings! I can't believe I missed that much! Naturally, I have more to catch up on. I took my drawing exam awhile ago (*cross fingers that I get a good score on it*), and I did an extemporaneous speech awhile ago for History. I also have 4 plates to pass, and possibly, 2 exams per day tomorrow and Friday, and a PE exam on Saturday. Whew! Good thing I came from UP; I've gotten the best training on balancing a full plate! :)

My face still has some scars, and so does my body so I decided to cover up. I also felt a bit lazy (How can I not? 6 days spent at home!) My jeans were also *ahem* a bit loose on me. Obviously so that even my sister commented on it. I remembered Katie Holmes' infamous boyfriend jeans and that's where I got inspiration for my look. I spruced it up with a red cardigan to appear from looking too drab and plain (to get a similar cardigan as mine, shop this cardigan from Charlie at ZALORA! 5% off using my code: TheStyleReactor120) I liked the overall effect--lazy but put-together. :)

What I wore to our travel day. Like Day 1, we spent it at the airport. Unlike day 1, we had 4 hours to kill in Cebu. Wish we could've gotten to visit F21 since it was on sale then. :(

Sorry for the ugly face and doubled up sweater. We left the hotel at 7am, so it was still really cold then.

When we got to the Kowloon part of the airport, we had a bit of a problem cause my brother left my sister's H&M bag in the bus! Good thing we were able to track it down! What is fast and efficient!!

Anyway, off now to meet up with some friends!

I miss the mall!!!
