Merry Christmas!

12/25/2015

Merry Christmas to you, who's reading this entry and everyone who still reads my blog! (Meron pa ba? Haha)

I know it's been a month since my last post and I hope you'll forgive me. Alam naman nating sobrang busy, fast and hectic ng December, especially for students like me. On the bright side, this is probably gonna be my last December as a student cause next year, I'll be spending Christmas as an engineer already! Naks, claim it na, bakla! Haha. I really had a hellish week before Christmas break started, with all the exams and requirements that were like mushrooms, springing out of nowhere! Pero siguro okay na din mag-exams noh, kesa uuwi akong late (from Manila, since that's where I plan to work) for Christmas break due to work commitments!

The 7-list: Signs You Come from a BIG Family

4/11/2015

Happy National Siblings Day!
In honor of this occasion, I created a list inspired by today's "holiday". A little background: I'm the eldest in a brood of 5. We're 4 girls and the youngest is a boy, just like the movie "Four Sisters and a Wedding" (my parents waited for a boy. LOL). One of my sisters is currently working in Manila. And recently, one of my sisters went to Manila to watch the OneDirection concert so there were 3 of us left here. I don't know, even though there were still three of us left home, the house still felt unnervingly quiet. I guess I'm just used to having a lot of people home. So even though I get annoyed of belonging to a big family from time to time (especially when I want something expensive and I have to make way since there are other children to consider #eldestproblems), I don't think I would have it any other way.

PS. It's so hard to narrow things down to just 7!

Graduation

5/06/2014

This is actually my first ever outfit post with the short hair since I had only cut it a few days prior to that day. I don't know why I prolonged posting this, maybe because I wanted to think of an apt write-up but truth is, I guess I may just have run out of feels. A few days before this, I was feeling depressed (again) because another batch of graduates (and some even 2-3 years younger than me--ugh at my obsession with age) were about to leave me school behind. When I knew I'd be attending my sister's graduation (cause my dad couldn't make it as he had work :( ), I was dreading it a bit because I didn't want envy to rear its ugly head. I sure as hell didn't want to rain on my sisters' and friends' day. But when I got to the graduation ceremony, I felt...empty. Like okay, ito na ito (okay, this is it)? I realized graduation is just a rite of passage and after the graduation day, you're still the same person albeit having put about 17 years of education behind. Not to make graduation a small deal in case you'd think this is bitterness talking, I think the happiness stems out of relief and that sense of accomplishment that you finished school. Then the next day comes and you have to get your pertinent papers, start looking for a job or start reviewing for the board exam.

Catching Fire

#sootd sister ootd: florals and pink

*disclaimer: slightly embarrassing display of desperation, but please, feel free to laugh at my expense :))

Last Saturday, I woke up to texts from my mother telling me that Jeron Teng was in Paradise Island with his mom and dad, that there weren't much people there and that she got a photo with him. First reaction was "FUUUU" and I woke up and told all my sisters. We all agreed that we just had to go! I mean, this was our chance to meet him and get a photo with him away from the prying eye of the public (chos). You know what I mean right, yung walang kaagaw.

Hips Don't Lie

I wasn't supposed to shoot this particular outfit but since the opportunity presented itself in the form of my uncle's camera and my sister's "willingness" to take my photo, here's another outfit shot for y'alls. These were taken during my cousin Erika's debut party a couple of weeks ago. We were told to come in navy blue.

Last Hurrah

6/03/2013

Last Friday, my family and I went on a little trip. It was a bit shocking cause for one, we hardly ever have road trips or beach trips anywhere! My dad's kind of a mall rat whose idea of going out is eating out (which is why all of us, his children, are healthy creatures HAHA) so those are the trips I'm accustomed to. Our car also is not suited for long rides so that's also one reason we ever go past city limits. That's also why I am not an outdoorsy person. Anyway, second, my dad actually rented a van for the trip! So he really means business. Road trip kung road trip! He 'invested' in a van na eh!

Red

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I didn't really like how the color of my photos turned out cause they were taken inside a department store so I edited them in a reddish hue just to get in the spirit of Valentine's Day.

Let's Go to the Beach-each

1/15/2013

Some photos I took during our spontaneous beach trip last Sunday (except the one of me which my brother took).

I'm not really a beach person even though in Davao, beaches are but 15-30 minutes away. From that trip of doing nothing but veg out (and leaving my stresses behind even for a while), I just realized that sometimes we seek the best things in life that we forget the best and most beautiful ones are those that catch us off-guard.

Just some photos from the trip my family and I took last Monday to Seagull Mountain Resort in Buda. I wish the photos I took did it justice but it didn't. HAHA. Really, it's that gorgeous there! Plus, I also fell asleep after lunch (the weather there was too divine!) so I wasn't able to go around as much as my mom and aunts. :(

Anyway, hope you're having a good Friday!
I am still stuck home with the chicken pox. Oh how I loathe this disease! :(

Hong Kong Day 3: Shopping!

Don Beppe

11/28/2011

As I've said from my post on The Peak, I'll be writing more about Don Beppe in another post and..here it is! :)

My mom's friend told her that Don Beppe has the best pizza and pasta that she has tasted ever, so my mom put it on our must-try places. A few nights ago, when they picked my sister up from Tae kwon do at the Bonifacio area (Don Beppe's old location), they found out Don Beppe has moved to The Peak at G-Mall.

Christmas Bazaar

11/26/2011

After going to The Peak yesterday, we headed off to the bazaar at Davao Convention Center upon the insistence of  my sister Feebee. (By the way, she has a blog so please click the link and check her random 13 year old musings out) Here are some random photos I took.

Because of the cayenne, Chubby posed like the jalapeno from Plants vs Zombies. Think he got the look down pat, right?

We went to Banana Beach last Sunday for my cousin Iago's 5th birthday. We had always planned to go to Banana Beach but it never pushed through til recently. I really loved the place! The party/lunch was held at Lanikai, a two-storey house which was so homey, it felt like you were at an old house's lanai (receiving area).

Afterwards, we took a tour of the plantation. The younger kids got on the e-walk, or elevated walk which led to the "jungle" part. We rode the van to check out The Spot, which features the beach as well as the infinity pool.
