Have you seen the first episode of The Carrie Diaries?
It's a new series starring AnnaSophia Robb (more popularly known as Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as a young Carrie Bradshaw. Anyway, this is her mom's bag from the first episode which she DIY-ed after her sister accidentally spilled polish on it. It was love at first sight! Now I also want my own.
You better watch the series to find out what else happens to Carrie. I myself watch for the 80's fashion...which actually looks pretty cool. :) I also watch to check for any more future mini-Carrie projects. :)

Wishlist Wednesday: Designer Bags Edition

Hello again!

I realized that I haven't made a Wishlist Wednesday post in so long (and I long promised I would make one of my MUST-HAVE bags). I also realize it isn't Wednesday anymore, so forgive this late post. On to the list then?

First on my list is a Chanel 2.55. It's been on my list since forever. It was named 2.55 because it was created on February 1955. It's a CLASSIC, 'nuff said.

Say hello to my new bag from  OASAP!

It just came in the mail today (in time for my birthday. haha) and I love it!! I can use it for traveling or for going out or what..but I think I will be using it in school! Love how classy it is yet it makes a statement even though it's just black. If people are shoe-holics, I can definitely say I'm a bag-aholic. I am crushing on so many bags right now!!! Will post a few of my lust list soon! :)

Wednesday Wishlist: Birthday Edition!

Hi guys!

So, my birthday is coming up in 12 days and I will be... Forever 21. Here are some of the things I am wishing for:

1) A surprise something.
My cousins surprised me on my 18th birthday but I haven't tried being surprised by my friends. I just remembered Valentine's Day in Ateneo with the gimmicks like the flowers, signs, cakes and shiz and as much as it pains my pride to admit it, I want that. :( Though I guess I have to keep dreaming cause it's not like I'd even have someone to lunch with on my birthday. (Sorry I sound so negative, but I'm being real here) Friends, call me on my birthday at 12nn-1pm while I'm having lunch, just so I don't feel alone please :(


1. a) letters from my friends in Manila would also be nice, although I'm not counting on it cause I know they are busy.
(letters nalang cause I always give them that!!)


2) Bags.
My "dream bag" used to be a Mulberry Alexa but now I am lusting over Proenza Schouler's PS1, available in beautiful and bright colors. le sigh


3) Spiked shoes.
I have been eyeing them since forever!! They have it in Heur Sheen, Romwe, OASAP, etc!

4) Gift checks or money
('nuff said)
Cheyser, I am counting on the gift checkS, as you promised birthday buddy! =))

5) Books.
Some books I want are still here, but the list includes Perks of Being a Wallflower, Can I have your number (Sophie Kinsella), Chicken Soup books (except the first ed, teens and college cause I have those) and Gossip Girl books. Any chic lit book actually--light and fluffy, like cotton candy! :)

6) Quintessential iPhone/camera/laptop
though I doubt this will happen.

7) make-up brushes and make-up


8) Accessories
Hint: I'm a huge necklace girl!
I want those that are timeless yet make a statement and can be worn everyday; something that would last long and wouldn't tarnish easily.

Wishlist Wednesday: Christmas Edition!

Hi friendsies!

Gift ideas if you're willing to you know... spend for me. :-)

I haven't been the best girl this year and yet I've received so many blessings despite that. I haven't been big on asking for gifts. I mean, if people want to give me, then great but I don't want to be the one to tell them outright that "Hey! I want a gift from you!" But if they don't give me, then it's okay. I never really expect. Lately, I haven't been a huge gift buyer myself.

1) Filed 2012 planner

I wanna try something new. I've tried planners that have their weeks set out vertically (Belle du Jour). I still also like Belle du Jour though. I've bought BDJ for 2009 and 2010. My planner this year was a blank one from NBS cause I thought I'd be able to dooooooooooodle on it, but I didn't have enough time. I more of treated it as a diary instead of a planner though. The Filed planner has weeks set out horizontally so there's more space for my to-do's and little doodles.  :)

I'm definitely a planner girl. As in I really design them, etc. I'd love to show you photos of my past planners soon. =)

Christmas Bazaar

After going to The Peak yesterday, we headed off to the bazaar at Davao Convention Center upon the insistence of  my sister Feebee. (By the way, she has a blog so please click the link and check her random 13 year old musings out) Here are some random photos I took.

Because of the cayenne, Chubby posed like the jalapeno from Plants vs Zombies. Think he got the look down pat, right?

October Highs

This October was filled with tons of great moments. And because I'm in such a great and positive mood, I'd love to share the good vibes in my life.

I think I wrote about a lot of the earlier ones--blogger food tasting, cousin bonding, red velvet bonding and finally getting my red trench. I haven't gotten around to wearing it yet though. It's been so HOT in Davao! So much for being a -BER month!

By the way, I changed my blog name for like, a couple of days but then I noticed I still got  lot of hits on LVL, so I decided to keep the blog name. Darn! I really wanted to go with The Style Reactor. Haven't seen a blog named that yet, and like I said, I think it goes pretty well with my Chemical Engineering background. Ooh.


So, let's start yeah?

I won't be posting every week cause I can only wish for so much things. I (used to be) really materialistic, always wanting something, but now, I can say I've grown to be a wee bit patient. I still have moods though wherein I crave for a particular thing, but I stop myself. It's healthy to be said no to sometimes.

1. A new camera

Canon G12

Lumix L3

I asked the opinion of my friend who knows the latest in cameras. She suggested a Canon G12 or a Lumix L3. I'm no techno-poser, I don't know what the specs of these cameras mean aside from the megapixel count! I'd be okay with ANY camera that beats my old Sony 5MP one. Patricia Prieto uses a Canon G12.

2. Make-up brushes!

I want brushes from Sigma (pictured above) or Suesh (pictured below).

3. YSL Arty Ring

or maybe a copy of this ring. It's $250!

4. Tyler Lockwood

Move over Damon! (no, not really)

Have you guys seen the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries (actually the first episode in the third season)?

Tyler and Caroline were hot, hot, hot! It sort of made me wish I could have my own big bad werewolf! :)

5. Satchels

I want a new bag! Here are really cute satchel bags from SOUL Lifestyle I like. My mom and I passed by SOUL yesterday and I just immediately gravitated towards the bags!

Top Picks from The 1st Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar Experience

My friends Mithi, Julienne and I met up yesterday and we went to the Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar. I had stomach cramps but I just had to go because Mithi came home for the long weekend and I haven't seen her for more than a month!

There were a lot of exhibitors, but these were some of my favorite picks of all the stuff there.


1. Candy Bags and Kara Shoes.

I first read about them on Fashion Firewoman. Jariss writes "this imported bag business brings us the latest bag craze in Manila". When I found out that they were coming to Davao, I knew I'd just have to stop by and check all their stuff out!

When we first came to their booth, there were a lot of people so we couldn't take any photos! And why not? Everyone was ooh-ing and aah-ing at the delicious candy collection! Very true to their name! :) 

They have really affordable stuff. The shoes are Php550-650, and the bags are Php850. I wanted this brown satchel but I didn't bring any money! Boohoo! :(

Anyway, if you're in Manila, according to their Facebook page, they  have branches in Tiendesitas and Robinson's Galleria.

A lot of people I know are shoe-a-holics, but I'm more of a bag-aholic! I have a lot of red bags, although in all the wrong sizes! Most of them are too small to use in school. So anyway, I looked in Polyvore and here are some of the bags that caught my eye.

Okay, if you've noticed, I still put in red bags! The Mulberry Alexa--gah! I am in love with that bag! I think that's Clara's bag in Mara Clara, except in Pink. The Proenza Schouler PS1 is also a must-have, if you want satchels!

 I am also in love with the McQueen clutches! They are just so different, so edgy! My favorite though is the one with the Union Jack and skull, but I couldn't find it on Polyvore. I want a leather portfolio as well! It looks so chic, paired with a striped top, jeans and heels!

So anyway, I don't have any of these bags yet. Low priced, high priced, it doesn't really matter as long as it's of good quality. :)
