Happy April 1st!

Can anyone believe how fast the year is going? The first quarter of the year is officially over!

Anyway, I've mentioned recently that I cleaned out my closet, so now I'm currently in the process of re-building my wardrobe. It's a little disheartening for someone like me who envisions herself going out of the stores with so many bags in hand cause think about it, I have to save money first and then really think of each piece I'm gonna be buying. By then, I'd end up so exhausted that I wouldn't be able to buy anything. That is..until I found dresslink.com!

Dresslink.com offers the cheapest clothes and accessories. I think they supply most online shops that's why you can buy in bulk. They also offer dropshipping, if you're looking to start a business. Aside from their clothes coming at dirt-cheap prices, I also love the fact that they carry my size! Yessir, that's right. They have US 8-12, and for some pieces, even up to US 16! This is good cause some online shops only carry smaller sizes. With my size and dirt-cheap prices, getting the items on my "wish list" doesn't sound so far off now!

My wishlist includes a Mulberry Alexa-inspired bag (been coveting one since forever!), a white off shoulder top (perfect for summer, yeah?), another off shoulder top in both black and white (this is different because it has a fringe trim at the end, perfect for the boho trend that's going on this year), a fringe kimono, a sports-inspired top (in both colors!) and lakas-makayaman sleeveless tops I can wear with pants or shorts on lazy days. (pwedeng backless, pwede din hindi)

All in all that's less than $100 for 10 pieces!

Wishlist Wednesday: Birthday

It's my birthday on Saturday so I thought about doing a wishlist post cause I haven't done one in a long time! Reading back on my old wishlist made me appreciate how much I've changed the past two years. The things I want this year are much simpler and definitely more realistic. I feel like right now, it is better to get what you want (for the meantime) than torture yourself over the things you can't have. Baby steps.   So as of now, I don't really want anything lavish. For starters, I want

1) A boxing membership at Empire Boxing Davao.   I got into boxing late last year and I love it! However, I found out recently that my boxing trainer at the gym will be away for a few months to train for his MMA competition. In comes Empire Boxing. They opened just a few months ago and I've been wanting to try ever since! They have muay thai, which is kickboxing, something I see progressing into since I box and need to lose some thigh fat. They also have conditioning which is specific to your needs (strengthening the lungs, weight loss, etc) which I also want to try. My trainer makes me do some conditioning exercises before boxing which serve as my cardio warm-up. It differs day-to-day and I love that cause I hate repetitive cardio (eg treadmill, elliptical) cause I easily get bored. The thing is, prices can get pretty steep cause you're paying per session and because training is one-on-one (they have unlimited boxing and conditioning though for around P3000 but I don't think I'd be able to fully maximize it since they're on the other side of town). Ah, I wish Empire would read this and sponsor me! *wishful thinking* If not though, I wish someone would give me money to enroll!    You know Farrah's changed when she's into fitness..but don't be too sure just yet.

Wishlist Wednesday: Christmas Wishlist

I should've posted this yesterday but I was out with my friends. It doesn't make a difference if it's posted a day late, right?
Anyway to start, I'm now 21 and it was just last night that I wondered if godparents still give their godchildren my age gifts on Christmas. Usually, it's just cash now but still, I wonder at what age would that stop coming. Probably when I have a job, right? Something to ponder about.

Material-wise and feasibility considered, I only want 3 things:
1) Shoes *patent nude pumps  (saw a pair in Aldo that's on sale)
*capped toe heels or flats (I keep seeing them on Vern's blog. They look really posh)
*moccasins/loafers from Shoebox and Me in Abreeza -their collection in Abreeza now is really nice. It features the loafers/moccasins in summery colors that I just want to gobble up! I want the pinkish/reddish one and the turquoise one. I think it's at about 699 or 799 a pair. For that amount, I think it's worth it cause it lasts long. When my mom and I went to check their latest collection, we realized we were both in Shoebox shoes we had purchased a year before. 
2) Bags
On my bag lust list this Christmas is:
a) a doctor's bag like Kweshie's which she bought in Parfois (see here) Sadly, I went there yesterday and seems like they don't have it already.
b) a tote/bucket bag from Shoebox again It looks like a bucket bag but it's pretty roomy and it has a strap. It comes in neon green, pink, yellow and orange but when I passed by, the orange was sold already! Gah. It's at 899php! I hope it's still there if and when and after I get my Christmas money.. or maybe someone can give me?
Lastly all I want for Christmas is a photoshopped photo of myself on what I'd look like if I were thin. SERIOUSLY. (hello THE Justin Quintos)
I know there are apps to "fattify" yourself but I already know what I look like fat. I'm hoping to try a different tactic to motivate me to weight loss. I'm hoping a photo of myself looking slim will help.

Wishlist Wednesday: Designer Bags Edition

Hello again!

I realized that I haven't made a Wishlist Wednesday post in so long (and I long promised I would make one of my MUST-HAVE bags). I also realize it isn't Wednesday anymore, so forgive this late post. On to the list then?

First on my list is a Chanel 2.55. It's been on my list since forever. It was named 2.55 because it was created on February 1955. It's a CLASSIC, 'nuff said.

Wednesday Wishlist: Birthday Edition!

So, my birthday is coming up in 12 days and I will be... Forever 21. Here are some of the things I am wishing for:

1) A surprise something.
My cousins surprised me on my 18th birthday but I haven't tried being surprised by my friends. I just remembered Valentine's Day in Ateneo with the gimmicks like the flowers, signs, cakes and shiz and as much as it pains my pride to admit it, I want that. :( Though I guess I have to keep dreaming cause it's not like I'd even have someone to lunch with on my birthday. (Sorry I sound so negative, but I'm being real here) Friends, call me on my birthday at 12nn-1pm while I'm having lunch, just so I don't feel alone please :(


1. a) letters from my friends in Manila would also be nice, although I'm not counting on it cause I know they are busy.
(letters nalang cause I always give them that!!)


2) Bags.
My "dream bag" used to be a Mulberry Alexa but now I am lusting over Proenza Schouler's PS1, available in beautiful and bright colors. le sigh


3) Spiked shoes.
I have been eyeing them since forever!! They have it in Heur Sheen, Romwe, OASAP, etc!

4) Gift checks or money
('nuff said)
Cheyser, I am counting on the gift checkS, as you promised birthday buddy! =))

5) Books.
Some books I want are still here, but the list includes Perks of Being a Wallflower, Can I have your number (Sophie Kinsella), Chicken Soup books (except the first ed, teens and college cause I have those) and Gossip Girl books. Any chic lit book actually--light and fluffy, like cotton candy! :)

6) Quintessential iPhone/camera/laptop
though I doubt this will happen.

7) make-up brushes and make-up


8) Accessories
Hint: I'm a huge necklace girl!
I want those that are timeless yet make a statement and can be worn everyday; something that would last long and wouldn't tarnish easily.

Wishlist Wednesday: coats from OASAP

A few days ago, I blogged about my fascination for capes. Now, I am showing you some coats that I am lusting for over at OASAP. I don't know what it is about me and clothing that I may never get the chance to wear here in our tropical country, but yeah. I am in love with the first coat, which reminds me of Balmain Spring '09. The 2nd-4th are very Upper East Side, and all are double breasted. And the khaki coat, I would love to have for less cold days. You can click on the links to view them on OASAP. :)

Wishlist Wednesday: OASAP Spring Collection

Some of my picks from OASAP's Summer 2012 Chic Collection.

If you've noticed, they're mostly loose dresses or tops in solid colors and breezy fabrics.

I wonder if May will be as hot as April, or if it will be the start of the rainy season again.

These are my "if-I-were-xlbs-lighter-I'd-totally-wear-these" clothes. I would wear them if I could but sadly, they do not have my size, so hanggang wishlist nalang!

By the way, their maxi skirt is a killer! The cloth is thicker so it isn't so sheer. :)

Wishlist Wednesday: Summer to-do's!

Summer starts for me in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!

Actually, I'm trying to restrain myself from doing stuff unrelated to school or work (Haha, hello blog). Isn't it funny that when you have all the time in the world, you get bored and you can't think of what to do, but when you're in a time crunch, you get so easily distracted?

Well anyway, since I can't do these things yet now, I am listing them so that when I finally do get my free time, I will have something to do (Sorry for being weird! Haha!)

I miss making stuff with my hands. I was super inspired by this set of bracelets from Fab Online Shop. They're made by Alyssa, a girl from my school. She's so creative! My sister just bought 2 sets recently. =)

Wishlist Wednesday: Techie Edition!

It's been a good few months since my return to blogging!

Never would I have thought that in 3 months, I would have gained 236 followers, hosted 13 giveaways and gotten online shops I usually see on more famous blogs as sponsors for my own giveaways!

Because of my blog, I've been given opportunities I would never had imagined getting (eg: getting the job as SOUL Lifestyle's SMA and a CollegeFashionista internship)

So yes, I'm very grateful. Yet, it's human nature to actually never be contented, and I am very much human. So for 2012, I am hoping for better things and improvements for my blog.

As most of you might know, I am so not a techie! I don't know how to edit photos using Photoshop, increase my page rank, do SEO work, etc. So, here are my wishies for my blog:

My blog name is too long for life, I know!

I don't know how to get cheap domains, so wishing someone would help me with this. By the way, what should I get?

Wishlist Wednesday: Christmas Edition!

Hi friendsies!

Gift ideas if you're willing to you know... spend for me. :-)

I haven't been the best girl this year and yet I've received so many blessings despite that. I haven't been big on asking for gifts. I mean, if people want to give me, then great but I don't want to be the one to tell them outright that "Hey! I want a gift from you!" But if they don't give me, then it's okay. I never really expect. Lately, I haven't been a huge gift buyer myself.

1) Filed 2012 planner

I wanna try something new. I've tried planners that have their weeks set out vertically (Belle du Jour). I still also like Belle du Jour though. I've bought BDJ for 2009 and 2010. My planner this year was a blank one from NBS cause I thought I'd be able to dooooooooooodle on it, but I didn't have enough time. I more of treated it as a diary instead of a planner though. The Filed planner has weeks set out horizontally so there's more space for my to-do's and little doodles.  :)

I'm definitely a planner girl. As in I really design them, etc. I'd love to show you photos of my past planners soon. =)

This Christmas, all I want are books, books, books.

Waking up this morning to the cold wind reminded me of waking up late during Christmas vacation, a book in hand. Good old days :)

1. Bobbie Brown Make-up Manual

It may be the most complete and illustrated make-up guide I have seen yet. It's available in National Book Store Abreeza at 795php for the soft bound copy. The hard bound one is 1600php.

2. Secrets of Stylists by Sasha Morrison

It is also available at National Bookstore Abreeza or G-mall. I've read bits of it and I want to read it whole! They should make a Philippine version of this, written by Liz Uy. I wonder what it would contain.

I won't be posting every week cause I can only wish for so much things. I (used to be) really materialistic, always wanting something, but now, I can say I've grown to be a wee bit patient. I still have moods though wherein I crave for a particular thing, but I stop myself. It's healthy to be said no to sometimes.

1. A new camera

I asked the opinion of my friend who knows the latest in cameras. She suggested a Canon G12 or a Lumix L3. I'm no techno-poser, I don't know what the specs of these cameras mean aside from the megapixel count! I'd be okay with ANY camera that beats my old Sony 5MP one. Patricia Prieto uses a Canon G12.

2. Make-up brushes!

I want brushes from Sigma (pictured above) or Suesh (pictured below).

3. YSL Arty Ring

or maybe a copy of this ring. It's $250!

4. Tyler Lockwood

Move over Damon! (no, not really)

Have you guys seen the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries (actually the first episode in the third season)?

Tyler and Caroline were hot, hot, hot! It sort of made me wish I could have my own big bad werewolf! :)

5. Satchels

I want a new bag! Here are really cute satchel bags from SOUL Lifestyle I like. My mom and I passed by SOUL yesterday and I just immediately gravitated towards the bags!
