Top Picks from The 1st Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar Experience

8/20/2011

My friends Mithi, Julienne and I met up yesterday and we went to the Kadayawan Trade Fair and Bazaar. I had stomach cramps but I just had to go because Mithi came home for the long weekend and I haven't seen her for more than a month!

There were a lot of exhibitors, but these were some of my favorite picks of all the stuff there.

1. Candy Bags and Kara Shoes.

I first read about them on Fashion Firewoman. Jariss writes "this imported bag business brings us the latest bag craze in Manila". When I found out that they were coming to Davao, I knew I'd just have to stop by and check all their stuff out!

When we first came to their booth, there were a lot of people so we couldn't take any photos! And why not? Everyone was ooh-ing and aah-ing at the delicious candy collection! Very true to their name! :)

They have really affordable stuff. The shoes are Php550-650, and the bags are Php850. I wanted this brown satchel but I didn't bring any money! Boohoo! :(

Anyway, if you're in Manila, according to their Facebook page, they  have branches in Tiendesitas and Robinson's Galleria.

Great picks from Candy Bags and Kara shoes

2. Pacomani's Clothes Bar.

What attracted us was their very vintage and romantic-themed booth.

The Clothes Bar booth was pretty cute.
Here's Julienne, picking out stuff. ;)

They are also located at Door 1, Paseo de Legaspi Compound, Legaspi St, Davao City.
You can also check out their facebook page.

Dress Diaries is a successful online shop that opened on December 2009. It's owned by Marylou Briones. Her new collection features dresses from tops, skirts, blazers and dresses from Bangkok. I super love all of her stuff, especially cause I've been mad for animal prints these days! :)

Great finds from the Dress Diaries. I love that animal print blazer
Her dresses are from Php600-900, wide legged pants from Php600-980 and skirts from Php 500-600.

She and her friends were also super friendly and accommodating, obliging for a photo. :)

4. Shop on Style Republic

Beside the Clothes Bar booth was the SOS booth. They had lovely vintage dresses, and at a good price too!

You could buy 3 for Php1000, or Php350 each. They also had lovely vintage bags, which were at around Php200-400.

Cute vintage dresses from SOS
love that vintage bag

5. Little Pleasures/Fashionable High Waisted Skirts by Jamica

I think they were probably my favorite! They had the booth nearest to the entrance, so you'd definitely notice them! They had really nice skirts, suits, satchels and dresses!
