Valentines Day Giveaway!

2/14/2012

Just a quick post cause I just got home!
Spent Valentines with le fam.  It's an unusual change for me because I've spent 3 consecutive VDays with my forever date, my friend Mithi. Today was good, even though I've spent it alone 20 years in a row (or 21?). One thing constant about my Valentine's day though was the presence of an EXAM. Ever since I started college, my teachers have shown lots of love through exams scheduled on Valentine's Day. I felt pretty good about the one today though! :-)

Anyway, (as usual) didn't get anything other than fat (via the amount of food I consumed) but I'll be the bigger (literally and figuratively) person here and be the one to give you guys the gifts.

Tah-daaah! My Valentines Day Giveaway!
Using Rafflecopter to make things easier, and I'm still deciding whether to have 1 winner or 2, but for sure, I'll be giving away a prize for the one who gives the BEST answer to my question.
So, please take it seriously guys. :)

Thank you to my generous sponsors!

  1. Love happens. It's an indefinite and infinite feeling beyond the nerves and tissues of our body. Something mutual and understanding. Love is that feeling that you can give to anyone without asking them to love you on return but show appreciation if cannot.

  7. Sharing life activities and personal information creates intimacy and emotional connection. Over time, caring grows and your emotional investment in the other deepens, even when all is not pleasurable. We love because we find our emotional match in the other person, that which makes us feel more whole. We have found a soulmate and become more and more emotionally and spiritually connected to the other person. :) thats my own meaning of love.

  8. it is a feeling that the mind can define in more than a thousand words but cannot be described by the heart

  9. Love is when 2 people find a unanimous compassion, interest, and attraction to eachother forming a bond of emotional bliss with the illusion of a worthless existence without the other. If you are lucky enough to find such a person.

  10. love makes you do the impossible for the one you love! love is travelling from south to north just to see your girl in 5 minutes.. love makes the impossible possible!

  11. Love is a choice and act of an unconditional acceptance for a person. The person might not be the epitome of perfection for you but nonetheless you choose to be with that person.

  12. love is never finding a hand that perfectly fits yours, its about finding the one who is willing to hold your hands no matter unfit it may be:)
Also, it about caring for a friend, relatives and others.

  13. Love is characterized by the desire to want good things for that person no matter what. And you're willing to work out your problems together. And you can hardly breathe when you're around them. Even though you may see them all the time or hardly ever, it's as if you get that rush of what you felt when you got your first kiss.

  15. Love is a broad word, you can't give the entire definition of it, if you haven't feel LOVE... LOVE does not only involve in intimate relationship, but it is universal.. It is when you are willing to give up and sacrifice things in order for the person to be happy, it is unconditional,it is compassion, it doesn't stop, it doesn't get tired. But Love is never greedy nor selfish and unfaithful, It is not betrayal and boastful. For Love itself is a gift given by our one and only Savior and it is one thing that can't be taken away. Love is magical. It is infinite, forever..It makes the world go around.

  16. Love is the acceptance of a person's strengths and weaknesses. A person finds love to conquer their weaknesses and uses their strengths to fill other people's weaknesses. Ang love ay hindi tungkol sa paghahanap ng tamang tao para sayo, ang love ay tungkol sa kung sinong tao yung magpupuno ng mga pagkukulang mo and vice versa.

  22. LOVE is NOT the feeling you get when you think you meet the right person...
LOVE IS the attachment that results from deeply appreciating another's goodness...

  23. Love is acceptance. Accepting the person even he has his flaws, accepting a thing even if it's pricey, accepting a job even if it's pay is low because you just do what you love.

  24. Love can be a million things everyday.

  25. Loving someone means accepting him/her for what he/she was, is and will be. Love is something that cannot be changed, it's something that's felt naturally. No one can say or dictate other people who he/she will love. Love is a surprise, you'll never know when, how and who will make it happen :)

  26. How can one truly define what love is? Not even an experienced person can truly grasp or explain love to its truest and deepest meaning. Its concepts are just a never ending story of an open book of experiences. But love does lie in one's heart, where memories are but shadows lingering in your soul. Love is giving someone the power to break your heart, but trusting them not to.

  27. There are different kinds of love. There is the love for a parent, a sister, a lover, a friend, and even a pet! :) For me, love is generally when you care about a person and want that person to be happy. It is love when you’re willing to sacrifice for that person. Love is also accepting a person despite his/her imperfections. You accept a person just the way he/she is and you wouldn’t have it any other way. I really like to believe that love (and being in love) makes you a better person.

    P. S. I don't know if you are familiar with the story 'The Gift of the Magi', but that is exactly how I define love—being willing to give up your most-prized possession just to make the other person happy.

  28. love is an emotion shared by two people who have mutual affection for eachother and when you feel it, you will always have that feeling. love will either destroy you or make your life better.

  29. Love is when you push someone away, and yet the other person still doesn't let go of you. Love is when you start cursing someone, but he or she still tells you "I love you." Love is when you ignore someone; but he or she still give you his/her full attention like you're all that matters. Lastly, love is when you ask him/her to give up something so important to him/her, but he/she still makes you feel it's okay.

    Much love from Mystic Nymph.

  33. Love is something that cannot be described easily by words nor by actions. Love is something that is meant to be felt rather than to be seen. Love does not only talks about relationships between a man and a woman but love is about God and us the people. It is a feeling which binds people with trust, passion, strength the ability to accept one's uniqueness and weakness. It is something which makes the world meaningful and colorful. With love, we people makes sacrifices in which we willingly do for the better, for the sake of maintaining something very important to us. Love is indeed a very magical and miraculous thing. Come to think about how a human organ who pumps blood can depict and feel something which is out of its duty on the human body.

  38. whenever someone ask me what is love this quote always pops in my mind its from the movie a walk to remember. "Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful." =)

  39. i think love is something that transcends 'definition'. the only way to define it is to experience it first-hand. it is something that's very hard to define, really. i can try to use words, but it'll still pale in comparison to the essence of love. it's a force; an energy; the drive that compels us to do things, or to not do things. it builds and sometimes it destroys. ultimately, it dictates the kind of life that we live and the kind of person that we are. idk really. i'm still trying to figure it out.

  40. I define LOVE as how Christ have died on the cross. As how the father gave his only son to save us from all our sins. I guess that's the best definition of love. Taking all the risk just to save your loved ones. & that's what Jesus di, In order for us to have an eternal life he sacrifice & carried the cross. He fall but still stood up. He was tired but still go on because he loves us that much. We always forgot him but still he forgives because he is a loving God. God first before boyfriends because LOVE IS GOD and GOD IS LOVE <3

  43. LOVE? No concrete meaning can be given to the word "Love". Love is a broad word. It maybe the love we have with our family, maybe the love for things, love as in romance and of course, the Divine Love from God. Its meaning varies from all of us-by how we feel, what we experience and by how we understand it. And though, we are not in any relationships right now, were still not loveless or be forever alone on Valentine's day. We still have God to love us, the love for ourselves, and love from our families and friends. One thing is for sure, that love, surely is, beautiful.

  44. As what the bible says, Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable, love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. 1Corinthians 13-4-7

  47. It means butterflies in my stomach, blushing cheeks, my world stops spinning as he passes by, a picture of him in the pages of my diary, sleepless nights and tears on my pillow. It drove me crazy, it made me mad, it made me feel jealous, it made me feel sad, it causes me sleepless nights and it even broke my heart- but in the end, it brought me so much happiness and inspired me to look beyond the dread and dreariness of every day life. I realized that love is not what you see but how you feel, not by how you listen but by how you understand, not how you forget but how you forgive and not by how you let go but how you hold on. And despite all the heartaches, love made me forgive and let me feel in love again even after a broken heart.

  52. Love is an irony. You may have to sacrifice some things in the name of love, but in return it will make you extremely happy. Love is not just about couples. It is also about our relationship with our families and friends. :)
