Seagreen Cafe and Lifestyle Shop

5/29/2013

Remember that time Heidi, Mithi and I took that outfit post at DMSF? Well after our little shoot, I headed to Agro field for my brother's soccer practice. Right after, my mom, dad, brother and I had dinner at Seagreen. (Sorry for the delayed blog post!! I have so much backlogs) I've been wanting to try the place out forever because of one, I was attracted to the place's decor and two, I heard they didn't serve meat. I'm trying to live a healthy lifestyle so it'd be great to eat at a place where the temptation to get into my comfort zone and order a meat dish is less.

Mithi and I planned to eat there but the hours are odd (and admittedly, we chose to have a late lunch then, like 2pm) so we didn't get to go. My parents got to try it first instead (darn! haha), so it was their second time. My dad was hesitant to try it at first but after my mom brought him there, he was raving about it! It's too bad we ate at night and not during the daytime--the pictures would've turned out much nicer. Plus, it'd be a sight to see the store lit up by natural light. :) Anyway, moving on to the food.

crazy brother :D

My mom ordered the Fried Kesong Puti Salad with Dalandan Dressing. I'm sorry I don't have a review for this cause I don't eat salad. :|

I ordered their Roasted Pumpkin Soup. It was good, but it tasted a bit different to me. I'm used to my pumpkin soup being a bit on the salty side but this one was a bit sweet because of the herbs. It was gave my tastebuds a little shock but after awhile, I got used to the taste.

My dad also ordered the Seafood Stew, which was according to my brother, spicy. (I didn't try it cause I don't tolerate spicy food well :( ) And my dad also had Dad's favorite, which is basically steamed fish with rice. No photo of those two though cause he was hungry.

My brother ordered the Shrimp and Lime Spaghetti, which was also good.

I also ordered this Wild Mushroom Risotto for my mom and I to share. The mushrooms were yum but the risotto was a bit bland for my liking.

There was sort of a dinner party that night so I wasn't able to take a photo of the other side. Anyway, in keeping with the healthy and green lifestyle, Seagreen also sells green products. I was able to spot some from Leyende.

Overall, the place is promising. It's very relaxing and very homey. Plus, the food's good and so far, I think this is the first of it's kind here in Davao. It's definitely worth a second visit. (I wanna try the brunch because I loooove breakfast food!)

Visit Seagreen along the Circumferential Road, Dona Vicenta Subd, Davao City.
Open 11:30-2pm; 5:30pm-10:00pm
