Just sharing some photos from my recent weekend trip to Manila. No, my trip cannot be summarized in just these 3 paltry photos. I'm just a sad excuse for a "blogger" as I had forgotten my camera. :( Anyway, I attended a Chemical Engineering conference organized by my former org, UP KEM with some of my classmates from Ateneo (UGH I dont even have a pic with them!! How sad is that?).
Carnival de Rainhas 2 (plus a giveaway!)
4/02/2013
The Regina Iustitiae Sorority from the Ateneo de Manila Law School is inviting us to
Carnival de Rainhas 2!
Carnival de Rainhas literally translates to Carnival of Queens and is in fact held annually in the city of Bethlehem, Brazil a month before Easter. The Carnival is considered as a farewell to negative things, as well as a preparation for the coming of Easter. In relation to the event, it will be held not only as a way to say goodbye to the school year, but also to usher in the summer season with a bang! How'd you like that? I'm sure all my UP friends would be glad to take a break from everything!
This year’s event is the second installment of Carnival de Rainhas, which was held last year at the Rockwell Tent. The sisters of Regina Iustitiae promise that this year’s event will be bigger and brighter! There will be over 100 food and non-food concessionaires, several game booths, inflatable castles, and concessionaires offering services geared towards the young and young at heart, such as face painting, balloon twisting, caricature drawing, fortune telling and many more. The event truly promises to be an entertaining and fun way to spend Sunday with family and friends. :)

Manila Videoblog
8/24/2012
Thought of doing a video blog cause I wasn't able to take photos today. Writing down what happened to me today sounded kind of boring so I thought I'd "liven" it up a bit with something different. This is my first try, so sorry if I was a bit shy and lame. haha
Raeinaissance
7/11/2012
I went to Manila because I was able to book a cheap flight when Cebu Pacific went on sale. Anyway, one day, my baby Raei chatted me up on Facebook and asked if I'd be able to attend her debut. Miraculously, it fell on the same weekend as the flight I booked. I was soooo happy! I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Here are some photos from the party of my friends and I:
Grateful Sunday 2
8/28/2011
I haven't been able to write an entry this week cause I've been so busy--catching up with friends, helping out and fixing my papers (why I'm here in Manila in the first place). So anyway, here is my list for the second part of Grateful Sunday.
1. Getting here (Manila) safely.

I chose the picture cause I rode Cebu Pacific. :)
I'm glad I got to Manila safely, and with good weather too! I just slept the whole time during the ride. It's a sort of guilty pleasure, just to be disconnected for a good 2 hours. I remember when I read The Devil Wears Prada, Andy Sachs loved when she had to go to Paris and be on the plane for 7 hours cause it meant Miranda Priestly couldn't reach her. Not that I'm escaping anyone, but that's how I felt.
