The Return of the Comeback

9/21/2014

I never thought I could go a month without updating my blog. Before, I used to think it absurd that people couldn't be able to actually find time to update their blog until it happened to me. September has been nothing but all sorts of busy. This led me to call it #SuperSeptember

I'm a Sad Excuse for a Blogger (My Manila Trip)

Just sharing some photos from my recent weekend trip to Manila. No, my trip cannot be summarized in just these 3 paltry photos. I'm just a sad excuse for a "blogger" as I had forgotten my camera. :( Anyway, I attended a Chemical Engineering conference organized by my former org, UP KEM with some of my classmates from Ateneo (UGH I dont even have a pic with them!! How sad is that?).

This is what I wore yesterday to the 1st day of the event our org organizes every year, the Students' National Chemical Engineering Conference (sNCEC). The first event was the NaChES (Students' National Chemical Engineering Symposium) held at UP Cine Adarna. I came to Manila for that event last year but it rained so I decided not to go anymore (blogged about that here). Last year, I wasn't from Ateneo yet, just processing documents for my transfer. I sneakily scheduled my trip to fall on the week of sNCEC 2011. Anyway, fast forward to 2nd sem when I got to Ateneo. I found out that only 1 person from AdDU went to sNCEC last year, and it was a prof at that! So now that I'm in Ateneo, I invited people to go and was able to convince 2 fellow students to accompany me. #fortheloveofKEM Thanks Clem and Neil! I hope you guys enjoyed and learned something, even if I kept leaving you :(

Raeinaissance

I went to Manila because I was able to book a cheap flight when Cebu Pacific went on sale. Anyway, one day, my baby Raei chatted me up on Facebook and asked if I'd be able to attend her debut. Miraculously, it fell on the same weekend as the flight I booked. I was soooo happy! I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Here are some photos from the party of my friends and I:

19 Things to do before turning 20 (100th post)

12/29/2011

I love my friends!

We just have the weirdest 'trips' that when we look back and reminisce, we tend to cringe and laugh at ourselves! Well, we just turned 20 in 2011 and now we think we're so cool, mature and grown up! But seriously, we really did some pretty funny, cringe-worthy shit, one of which I'm going to share: Our 19 things to do before turning 20 list

As the name implies, it is a bucket list of stuff we should do before turning 20. I'm sharing this to you because it's given me and my friends a few good laughs, and I hope it will inspire you to make a list and have a few laughs with your friends as well. Plus, this is me saying goodbye to parts of our old, immature selves and hello to a fresh mature 2012.

What Made Me Happy Today

9/03/2011

This is 10B, also known as my buckies. They were my co-applicants in KEM. Our batch is kind of special cause there are only so few of us, as compared to the others. We rarely get to go out as a batch (even if we're only 11) cause of school and other stuff. Well, soon, we (or they) won't be complete cause I'll be going back to Davao.

Today, most of us were able to have dinner together. Even Angelica, who isn't always available cause she lives faraway, was able to come! (Thanks Angel! :) )
What made it more special was that even if I asked on such short notice, they came! :')

Aww, I love you guys!

talagang nagdedicate ako ng isang blog post for this ah!

Grateful Sunday 2

8/28/2011

I haven't been able to write an entry this week cause I've been so busy--catching up with friends, helping out and fixing my papers (why I'm here in Manila in the first place). So anyway, here is my list for the second part of Grateful Sunday.

1. Getting here (Manila) safely.

I chose the picture cause I rode Cebu Pacific. :)

I'm glad I got to Manila safely, and with good weather too! I just slept the whole time during the ride. It's a sort of guilty pleasure, just to be disconnected for a good 2 hours. I remember when I read The Devil Wears Prada, Andy Sachs loved when she had to go to Paris and be on the plane for 7 hours cause it meant Miranda Priestly couldn't reach her. Not that I'm escaping anyone, but that's how I felt.
